
My name is Veronika Pokorna, I am a medical doctor, certified power yoga and hatha yoga instructor, registered yoga teacher (RYT® 200) professional certified integrative coach, personal and spiritual growth enthusiast, passionate dancer, animal and nature lover. My goal is to help as many people as possible to live a healthy and happy life.
I have been teaching people to get in touch with their deep core and pelvic floor muscles in order to sit, stand, move and do sports in a body-friendly and injury-free way since 2013 live at Sahra Relax and Dance studio and online. I have been coaching people to lead a healthy and happy life since 2020.
As for my medical career, I am a specialist in internal medicine with a PhD in internal medicine and a master’s degree in public health. I focus mainly on arterial hypertension, atrial fibrillation and clinical osteology.
I work in Bratislava, Slovakia, at the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University and at the University Hospital where I take care of severely ill patients with internal medicine diseases and teach future generations of medical doctors at the same time.
Being healthy feels so good, right? Most of us had the incredible luck of being born healthy – that is a great thing, but a tricky one as well. Since health seems so natural to us, most of the time we are unappreciative of it and even show an attitude of entitlement. When we get sick, just for a bit, the only thing we want is to be healthy again - which is fine. However, what is not OK is that we feel so entitled to be healthy all the time that we get angry at our bodies for failing us. But….health is not an event, it is a process. Staying healthy despite the passage of time requires healthy choices followed by healthy actions every day. And that is what Mission Top Health is about.

My personal Mission Top Health started back in 2005. Interminable hours spent over books and absent sports activity lead to an aching back, stiffness in neck and shoulders. It all got even worse after pregnancy with loose pelvic floor and overstrained hip joints. Every step equaled pain. I kept looking for solutions and found ways to strengthen my deep core and pelvic floor muscles. Thanks to regular exercise my body got into an amazing form, better than ever before. With growing muscles grew my wish to use them and move more, and my journey continued towards dancing (belly dance, salsa, bachata, reggaeton) and other sports activities (swimming, running, climbing, skiing, snowboarding), but sometime later I started to experience physical symptoms with no medical explanation – allergies, digestive issues, hair loss. And my journey continued towards spirituality, meditation and emotion work. At that point I also fell in love with power and hatha yoga. Despite all the health-related work I had done so far, my life was still not the way I wanted it to be. Without clear goals, I was just floating through it. My life felt OK, but at the same time it felt like something was missing. On the inside I knew that I wanted to walk on a different path in most areas of my life. Next step in my journey was to work with my mind, clearing away limiting beliefs and patterns which were holding me back. The creation of new beliefs made it possible for me to set clear goals and see ways how to achieve them.
I used all my personal and professional knowledge from my health journey to create V360yoga® and V360coaching®.
A huge inspiration to create my own body-coaching program was seeing people ruining their backs and joints by anatomically incorrect ways of exercising or doing sports. This is how V360yoga® - healthy yoga by a medical doctor, for your happy back, strong bones and smiling joints was born.
A huge motivation to create V360coaching® - a health coaching program for the healthy and happy YOU - was my work as a medical doctor in the hospital. On everyday basis I saw people repeating the same dysfunctional patterns in relation to their health all over again. I witnessed their unwillingness to take responsibility for their life and health.
Authenticity is an important keyword of Mission Top Health. Everything I coach and teach is a fusion of my personal experience as a human being and my deep practical knowledge as a medical doctor, coach and instructor.
